Our Environment

Virgin Block Estate Winery is located on the east side of Caves Road, only 4 kilometres south of the township of Yallingup in the Yallingup sub-region of the Margaret River wine region. Our position, only 3 kms from the ocean ensures that the vines enjoy a maritime climate, which is ideal for winegrowing. The winters are cool and wet, and evening ocean breezes cool the hot summer days.

Marri and jarrah, both hardwood indigenous trees, dominate the native vegetation surrounding the nine hectares of vineyard on the 30-hectare property. Historically, these trees have been a very reliable indicator for prime vineyard sites and our vintages to date have confirmed the suitability of our unique site to grow wines of great character.
